Easy Cheesy Drop Biscuits

These are the EASY and oh so cheesy drop biscuits you need to add to your meal plan on rotation!

They really are easy, and you can quickly whip them up and have them in and out of the oven in under 25min.

Its chilly and rainy… and getting dark so early these days… so its totally a soup season. And soup season needs companion biscuits!

I threw together a hearty potato soup this week, because that’s my favorite soup. But the thing that made it all come together were these cheesy drop biscuits.

THESE were so delicious. They will be on rotation in my meal plan this fall! Perfect with all the soups, and well, any meal or snack.

What makes these cheesy biscuits really amazing is using Kinfork Cheddar cheese. We LOVE Kinfork cheddar cheese (which is why we offer it in our farm store). And a huge bonus is that you will recognize and be able to pronounce ALL the ingredients in their cheese.

Kinfork is a local Amish co-op that makes really amazing cheese and offers Cheddar, Sharp Cheddar, Garlic and Parsley, Onion and Dill,  Maritime Spice (think Old Bay) and Four Pepper. ALL of these make amazing biscuit flavor combinations.

Visit our farm store (located at 7447 S. Eagle Valley Road, Port Matilda, PA 16870) to pick up your favorite flavor of cheese and a gallon of milk so you can make these biscuits for supper tonight!

Easy Cheesy Drop Biscuits

Ingredients:

  • 2 Cups of flour

  • 1 T. Baking Powder

  • Pinch of salt

  • 4 oz Kinfork cheddar cheese (or more if you like extra cheese)

  • 1 Stick of butter, cold

  • 1 cup Rissler’s Raw Milk

 Directions:

Preheat your oven to 425 F.

Mix flour, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl

Use a cheese shredder to shred the cheese and the butter.

Add the cheese and butter to the flour mixture and stir together carefully to avoid large clumps. You want the cheese and butter to combine with the flour to form a crumbly mixture.

Add the milk a little at a time, stirring just until it all comes together. Avoid over mixing.

Dough should be sticky.

Scoop by spoonful onto a baking sheet. Bake 9min or until the tops start to brown.

Enjoy!
