PA Native Plants

Seedbox (Ludwigia alternifolia)
A native perennial with sunny yellow blooms and unique square seed pods. Thrives in moist soil and full to partial sun—perfect for rain gardens and wetland edges. Supports pollinators and adds seasonal interest from summer through fall.

Rock Harlequin (Corydalis sempervirens)
A delicate native biennial with pink and yellow tubular flowers and airy, blue-green foliage. Blooms from late spring into summer. Thrives in dry, rocky soil and partial shade. (I mean, this is central PA, we all have a pile of rocks that needs a plant! LOL) Pictured below.

Blue Mistflower (Conoclinium coelestinum)
A late-season native bloomer with soft, lavender-blue flowers that attract butterflies and bees. Spreads gently by rhizomes—great for naturalized beds and rain gardens.

Great Blue Lobelia (Lobelia siphilitica)
Striking native perennial with tall spikes of vibrant blue flowers. Blooms late summer to fall and attracts bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. Perfect for moist soils and part shade.
